Mt. Zion Rd. Reconstruction

WHAT

Mt. Zion Rd. (KY 536) is being widened from just west of US 42 to I-75. A three-mile section of the roadway will be widened from two lanes to five lanes – two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane – with a multi-use path in both directions.

Two new roundabouts will be built at the intersections of Mt. Zion Rd. and Old Union Rd., and at Mt. Zion Rd. and Harmony Rd.

Curb and gutter improvements, as well as storm sewer and drainage work will be completed as part of this project.

The widening of Mt. Zion Rd. will improve safety and support better traffic flow in this growing area.
