At KYTC, it’s our job to make sure our infrastructure meets the needs of our growing population, as well as the many companies located here. In many cases, this begins with a traffic study or a planning study.

 

Traffic studies look at existing and future traffic on a particular stretch of roadway. This results in an engineering document that can be used to inform future improvements and projects in the area.

Planning studies are conducted after the traffic study in preparation for most major roadway improvements and look at the environmental impacts of a potential project, issues with the landscape, and existing or proposed traffic counts.
