Pleasant Valley Rd. Widening Project
Friday, Dec. 18, weather permitting:
A new traffic pattern will be put into place to allow for the next phase of improvement work in the project area.
Beginning at 9 a.m., various lane closures will be put into place at the following locations:
Between Oakbrook Rd./Carters Mill Ln. and Pleasant Hill Dr.
At the intersection of Pleasant Valley Rd. and Camp Ernst Rd.
At the intersection of Camp Ernst Rd. and Rogers Ln.
One lane of travel will remain open at all times. Flaggers will maintain traffic.
By 3 p.m., the new traffic pattern will be set, and two lanes of travel will be in place (one lane in each direction) on KY 237 (Pleasant Valley Rd./Camp Ernst Rd.). Traffic will be shifted east onto the new alignment from just north of Oakbrook Rd./Carters Mill Ln. to Rogers Ln. to allow for the next phase of construction.
Traffic will use the new roundabout at the intersection of KY 237 and Camp Ernst Rd. (Remember: traffic wishing to enter the roundabout always yields to traffic already in the roundabout.)
Pleasant Hill Dr. residents will access KY 237 via Camp Ernst Rd.
This traffic pattern is expected to remain in place through project completion, which is expected by summer 2021.
Ongoing traffic impacts:
The intersection of Pleasant Valley Rd. (KY 237) and Thunder Ridge Dr. remains closed. Residential traffic will not be able to access Pleasant Valley Rd. from Thunder Ridge Dr., and traffic on Pleasant Valley Rd. will not be able to access Thunder Ridge Dr. The intersection is expected to remain closed through spring 2021.
